How TiroDesk works
TiroDesk is a marketplace for remote work in Botswana. Businesses post work, vetted Batswana do it, and TiroDesk holds the money in between so both sides are protected.
For businesses
- Post a job. Describe what you need, upload samples, and set a deadline. During our launch, our team helps you write the brief and agree a fair price.
- Pick a worker. Vetted workers in that category express interest. You choose, or we recommend someone.
- Pay. You only pay once you've chosen a worker. The money is held by TiroDesk, not paid to the worker yet.
- Review. Approve the work, or ask for changes (two rounds included). If you don't respond within 5 working days, the work is approved automatically.
Jobs can be a fixed price, a price per item (for example per invoice captured), or a prepaid block of hours. Large jobs can be split into batches you approve one at a time.
Fees: a 10% service fee on top of the job price (minimum P10). There are no sign-up or monthly fees. See our cancellation and refund policy.
For workers
- Apply with your CV (PDF or Word). You must be 18 or older. No minimum qualification: the skills tests decide.
- Pass a skills test for up to three kinds of work. You get two attempts per test, 7 days apart.
- Wait for an invite. We invite people in batches as client work arrives, ranked by test results and experience. Then we check your Omang, you sign the contractor agreement, and add your Orange Money number.
- Take jobs and get paid. You choose the jobs you want. Approved work is paid out by Orange Money every Friday (minimum P50). TiroDesk keeps 10% of the job price (minimum P10).
Workers on TiroDesk are independent contractors, not employees. You choose your jobs and your hours.
